Things become quieter to the north of the crowded southern tourist town of Cala d'Or. One of Mallorca's least visited regions is its north east, which stretches from Portocolom to the north-east coastal town of Colonia de Sant Pere, passing through the inland towns of Manacor and Artá. The east quietly goes about its daily routine of fishing, farming the best sun-ripened luscious vegetables, and lazing around looking naturally gorgeous while the south parties and the north and west continue their fashionable trend.
